Zucchetti Achieves PCI-DSS Certification for TCPOS and Cloud-Based Payment Solutions
We’re pleased to announce that Zucchetti has successfully passed its 2025 PCI-DSS assessment, confirming that the solutions connected to the TCPOS platform, along with other selected Zucchetti cloud-based technologies, are now certified under PCI-DSS version 4.0.1.
What is PCI-DSS?
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) is an internationally recognised security framework designed to protect cardholder data and reduce payment fraud. Certification demonstrates that a company follows the most rigorous security practices in managing transactions, systems, and data — across both physical and digital environments.
What’s included in this certification?
Zucchetti has been certified as a Level 1 PCI-DSS Service Provider, the highest classification under the standard. The certification applies to:
- The TCPOS platform and its connected cloud-based services
- Payment environments used for e-commerce, mobile and point-of-sale (POS) transactions
- The secure handling of Point-to-Point Encrypted (P2PE) Chip & PIN devices, according to PCI chain of custody rules
This assessment was carried out by an accredited independent body, verifying that our systems meet all twelve PCI DSS requirements grouped under six control objectives:
- Build and maintain a secure network and systems
- Protect cardholder data
- Maintain a vulnerability management programme
- Implement strong access control measures
- Regularly monitor and test networks
- Maintain an information security policy
